Ya, we hardly every install a new one, usually we cut into the counters and cabinets to install a 30″ range

Wow… that is an OLD stove… In 2 years of selling appliances, I’ve sold one. My coworker who’s been in Sears 40 years told me he he’s sold less than 10. Makes SO much more sense to do a Slide in if you want the “built in” look. Comparatively a slide in is a ZILLION times easier to install, and a freestanding the easiest of all. If people are gonna spend the money to o built in they need to just go all out and do a cooktop and wall oven.
